We are kicking off our family blog spot. WE consist of David and Christy Garner with our three sons Jacob, Jeffery and Tanner. There is quite a bit to post for your information:

NEW ARRIVAL:

Mile Thomas Garner - OUR FIRST GRANDCHILD - was born to Rachel and Richard Garner on 30 January 2009 in Rexburg, ID. Miles weighed 8 lb 7 oz and measured 20.5 inches long. If we can figure out how to insert photos we will. If not you'll just have to trust us that Miles is the cutest baby ever born

JACOB:

Jacob is a published writer! He submitted a story about his experiences on Salt Lake Temple Square while supporting his older sister's wedding to The New Era magazine. It has been printed in the March 2009 edition on page 45.

JEFFERY:

Jeff is the newest Eagle Scout in the family. He also plays the violin quite well. His next recital is on 21 February. He and his brother Jacob are going to spend a lot of March hosting Japanese exchange students arounf the state of Utah and to Disney Land.

TANNER:

Riverton (Utah) Arts Council's production of Seussical is scheduled to open on 09 March and play through 23 March. Tanner has the lead role of JoJo and is in CAST A performances. He will be in the evening shows on Tuesday (3/10), Thursday (3/12), Tuesday (3/17), Friday (3/20), Saturday (3/21) and Monday (3/23). He is also in the Saturday Matinee on 3/14.

Evening performances start at 7:30 and matinees are at 2:00 (I think). All shows are at the Sandra Lloyd Performing Arts Center at 12830 S. Redwood Road, Riverton, UT

We are alive!

Hopefully, you all know we are alive just because we don't take time to blog. Most of you are receiving our letter to Ross and Ross's letters, so you know what it going on with us. We had a great, intense trip to Zions to hike the subway. It didn't feel like a big deal the day we hiked, but I had serious repercussions for 3 days after wards. I was thankful when all the lactic acid was out of my thighs. The harvesting and canning is done! We filled every bottle in our house this year. We probably only have one more time to mow lawns, so I am feeling a ton of relief these days. My big project now is trying to get my Grandpa Ewing's life history into a book with pictures. Grandpa remains positive and upbeat despite the intrusive kidney cancer. Jacob just finished a season of cross country running and Jeff is right there beside him running with him daily. Tanner is finishing up his last Webelos activity pin. Then he will come into my 11 year old patrol. Life is good and the Garners are happy.

Subway tirp September 20-21 2009

This trip was a blast with repelling, hiking, and swimming through freezing cold water. It took us about 9 hours and was 10 miles long.
